animals don't have "nicknames"
they have common names and scientific names
The reason they have "official" or scientific names
is that many animals have multiple common names.

puma,mountain lion, cougar, catamount are all common names of Puma concolor.

Likewise glass minnow,bay anchovy, majua, rain minnow
are all common names of Anchoa mitchilli.

Had you asked me what species of the true minnow family live in the ocean, I would have said none, which only further illustrated my ORIGINAL point before you went off
a tangent in which your gotcha turned in to your song and dance only to make you look stupid and dishonest.

I expect no apology or admission that you were wrong, so don't sweat the stain on your soul.
