it was believed to be prohibitively expensive (e.g. $100+ million) then maybe it should be revisited.
Times have changed, especially with the SEC money pouring in. Maybe today's donor base would be willing to finance a project like that.
Now, if it's just not feasible from an engineering perspective, then of course that's a different story.
