When you look at the athletic QBs of the past that were very mobile, I would guess at around 5 years, they transitioned to be more pocket QB, or started to fade. No specific stats to back it up.

Randall Cunningham..yes, he lasted a while in the league, but became a journeyman for a while
Cam Newton seems to be on that downhill bit
