I think the problem is in the way you present the link to your site. You have a post headline that looks interesting, but your entire post is just a link to your site. It's like you stumbled on an article on ESPN, but it's just an article you wrote on your site. It's misleading at best. If you were clear you were linking to your site and maybe provide something else other than just the link, I don't think people would complain (as much). But Mizzou fans aren't happy unless they are complaining about something.
