the two dicks that were harassing them were no angels
but the initial physical altercation seemed to come from
ASAP Rocky's camp. You do not see what happened just prior to throwing one of the dicks to the ground and getting stomped.

But to answer your question republicans would have been massive hypocrites (as they are). Trump is trying to use this to dampen the fact that he is a racist- pure and simple.
