If that can be done with a robot, that you do not pay healthcare , SS, medicare, worry about lawsuits, OT, sick days, maternity leave, they will pick it over a human being any day of the week.
It's called common sense. that's exactly why the feminist line, about women get paid less than men for the same job is patently false. Companies would prefer to hire women , if they did the same work, but cost less.
I'd prefer to drive up labor costs to help the american citizen, than help an uninvited illegal any day of the week.
I'm more concerned about a society that has a permanent poverty class of 40 - 50 million people potentially more, with no chance of ever getting a job.
That would essentially bankrupt the welfare state, leading to collapse, and then violent anarchy has that 50 million try to figure out how to feed themselves.
Oh well, we can just ignore all of this, and wait for the eventual collapse when we can't borrow money anymore.
