in Vietnam as a US soldier

A Scottish boy who emigrated to Canada looking for his father who had been a Canadian soldier in WW2. Found his father who wanted nothing to do with him. He then moved to Detroit where some distant relatives sort of adopted him. He ended up being drafted while working at Detroit auto plant became a citizen overseas and got a college degree (chemical engineering) back in Michigan Great guy I met in Detroit when he was running his own company
