but it's not because i hate the president. it's because i learned that you stand and face the flag and listen to the anthem in silent reverence. but maybe that's just me.

i'm wondering more in a general sense. it seems there are at least 3 viable reasons to not care:
- it's women's sports so who cares
- it's soccer so who cares
- it's just the national anthem so who cares

probably other viable reasons too
