"hot takes" and get attention for the things he says on the radio. It's what they do.
But athletes and coaches are super sensitive about keeping personal matters out of the media's talking points.
This type of thing is a HUGE no-no. It's pretty f*cked up, and if it were me that was the subject of some dude talking on the radio about a dead sibling or child or something, I'd take away any business I or my organization had/has with that guy.
