We were ranked #3 heading into that game, and both of the team ranked ahead of us lost before the NCAA tourney selection. So had that game been allowed to play out naturally not only would we have been Big 12 regular season and postseason champions that year, but we would have entered the NCAA selection process ranked #1 in the nation because we won all the rest of our games.
