God did a pretty **** poor job of putting the moon in orbit since it is drifting further away from the Earth and the Earth's rotation on its axis is slowing.

God did a pretty poor job with the design of the Solar System putting the Earth in a shooting gallery where we have had massive life ending impacts like the crater in Iowa and Yucatan Peninsula.

Or perhaps it is just writings of ancient superstitious men.
