by not ever fully embracing it. Its like he thinks he can still compete by getting a bunch of veteran scrubs that other teams do not want. Ever since they won the WS he hasn't been able to look to future. He should have traded some of those guys for prospects when he had the chance. Now he just keeps signing these washed up vets and runs them out there every day. Let's not forget he traded Strahm for a good awful Maurer after the WS. Had Bucholtz in the minors but wouldn't bring him up last year even though the rotation was garbage. Kept Esky a year or two too long. And signed the guys you mentioned above.
