Martin is a very good coach, proven by the fact that he has won despite not being an ace recruiter.

He was also not sold as an ace recruiter. That was made up fodder on here and other places. He was hired here to rebuild the program, some folks just incorrectly chose to believe his background would naturally get us the Stl kids. The funny thing is, he's actually gotten more of them than we've ever gotten before, yet people are upset that he's not getting the blue chippers.

And caveat it however you want, it was still his first class, the one where a coach usually gets their recruiting bump. Within that class was also the highest rated recruit still expected to be on the roster next season (Tilmon).

It remains to be seen if Martin at Mizzou can elevate the potential of both coach and school, but that will take some time to play out.
