The only person from the "D" side that I could see myself barely hopeful to win would be Tulsi Gabbard. She's atrocious on domestic fiscal issues, but the only decent one on foreign policy issues (which the President can unilaterally affect unlike most domestic issues).
Otherwise, I have no idea on Trump's re-election chances nor do I really care that much.
As for Trump shaking it up, the thought that he has really "shaken it up" must be the power of marketing. Nothing substantive has materially changed from the past several administrations. The US is currently experiencing record spending, record taxation, more debt, more foreign battle fields, more regulations, etc. But for whatever reason, people think he's different and are losing their minds to either oust or preserve him in the office. That must be related to the power of marketing versus reality. Or people place too much stock on marginal unimportant differences (like giving a young athlete the medal of freedom)
