Barr is going to look deeper into the beginning of the investigation itself, including multiple intelligence agencies roles in such.

However, the IG does not have near the authoritative power that the AG has in regards to conducting investigations (hence the reason the IG will make referrals to the AG). More specifically, the IG has very little subpoena power comparatively speaking.

So, do you need me to explain things in simpler terms for you?
