supposed to decide if laws are good or just, only if they are constitutional.
It is not the judicial branch's responsibility to protect the citizenry from idiots they put into office.
The legislative branch created this problem they are the ones who need to fix it. But they won't because they are beholden to the same public sector unions that stupid laws like this benefit.
