Florida State as a 9 seed, who went on to the Elite 8 and nearly beat Michigan to reach the Final Four.

9 seeds are NOT supposed to be Final Four contenders, but that's what Mizzou got in the 1st round last year. And as Fiji pointed out, Mizzou has a long history of drawing teams that go on to reach the Final Four.

So, you can deny it all you want, but the fact is Mizzou has had extremely "unfortunate" tournament draws throughout its history.
