calving an iceberg. I am talking about an iceberg coming off a shelf. George says it will raise sea level because it doesn't float. That is wrong.
George also says an ice shelf is not in water, when it clearly is by pictures I provided.

Follow the sea level line on that picture as it illustrates the ice shelf being in water.
I completely understand an ice shelf acts as a restraint on land ice. Once it goes land ice moving into the water raises sea levels. But that is beyond the scope of discussion.
