As for shorting, after Cook came out with his APPL conference call after the earning announcement last December, people were shorting that trillion dollar company, driving it down to 143 from 211. So shorting and compamy size aren't always correlated. In fact, shorting APPL with their cash on hand and ability to buy back stock is stupid IMO.
