W did not make a mistake. His admin was seeking any reason whatsoever to take out Iraq. Try to learn what you are talking about. The goal was to eliminate any rival to Israeli domination of the Middle East. This involved taking out Iraq and Iran.

Bush was not misinformed. He was told explicitly by the CIA to NOT use a line in his SOTU about yellow cake from Africa - he did it anyway. The country did not support the invasion.
