He basically rode on Russian help also. There was a report recently on how in god's name Trump's people could micro-target on the same level of the Dems while spending way less. Enter stage right polling data shared with Russians.
Trump's upset win rode on 70,000 votes over three states. Each of those states just went pretty well for the Dems in the midterms.
