What happened before the clip shown started?

Hard to judge what gave rise to all of this.
Things not to do in such situations:
1. Get out of your car. Both guilty.
2. Lose patience. White man guilty. Not clear initially about the woman.
3. Yell at people if it's not an emergency situation. White man guilty. Woman guilty. Black man guilty.
4. Insult someone, especially if they are already angry. Woman guilty.
5. Get into another person's personal space. I've heard it described as 3 feet in the past, but at least at arms length. No I am not taking time to look up a reference. White man guilty.
6. Brandish a weapon in this situation. Black man guilty. This is an escalating factor which could easily get out of hand. There was no justification for that level of force in this situation, and it is very possible he could face criminal charges. There is no suggestion the white man had a weapon. There is no reason to believe he needed to use a gun to physically overpower the white man.
7. Hit someone who isn't trying to harm you in this type of situation. Not 100% clear if white man hit, or only attempted hit the black man, either way, black man hitting him was justifiable response; unless, there was evidence the black man was reaching for his gun, and that's why the white man hit, or attempted hit the black man.
Still need more facts, which give context, and give a better understanding of the whole picture.
