The conference titles meant less, to many including me, because the NCAA tourney flops year after year. We finally made a good run in 94' before losing in the elite eight to AZ. The point is I took both Norm and our conference success for granted not understanding that even that could be fleeting....which obviously it has been. Never in a million years did I think Mizzou would struggle so witho u t Norm. He was a great coach who had several FF caliber teams. That collapse in 1990, lost the last 7-8 games, and then lost to Norther IA in the first round was numbing but not shocking like the 2012 loss.
