He's a physician. When asked about late term abortions, what I heard him say was some babies have been diagnosed pre-birth to be so chromosome deficient/aberrant, (he could have added, so physically challenged, so retarded so in need of severe medical intervention at birth,) that delivery/viabilty of life, is problematic. The parents basically have to decide about a DNR on a baby. I pray none here experience this. I know people who have. The hospital staff would make the baby as comfortable as possible, like they do with all DNRs.

Being a Christian, I don't believe abortion should be used for birth control. I know of no sane person who believes in late term abortion of a healthy growing live form/fetus/baby. That is murder. Demonizing the other side to further a political agenda however, is misguided. Too many people are pro-birth but would not be considered pro-life.
