What's fascinating to me is the crazy alliances that are springing up in opposition to this plan that cross party lines, demographic lines, city-county lines.

Just a couple of examples. An alderwoman in the city who hates Missouri so much she is advocating for the city of St. Louis to secede from the state retweeted favorably the Chesterfield councilmen's tweet about forming the county of Chesterfield and you have conservative radio guy Mark Cox having radical city dem Jamila Nasheed on his program applauding her efforts to put the breaks on this plan.
