Got hammered by a 9-8 Alabama team, 86-65. Was down just 5 going into the 4th quarter and got out scored 26-10 down the stretch.
They drop to 12-5, 1-4 in conference. Have a game next week against #1 Notre Dame, and conference games left at Miss St, Missouri, TAMU, plus SC at home. They are playing themselves out of a top 16 national seed.
None of their struggles are good news for Mizzou. They are easily our best ‘signature’ win this year, and the more they lose, the more our tournament resume gets devalued. Their RPI rank has now dropped to 40 and they should be out of the top 25 in the polls come Monday.
