Largely agree. MU needs a reliable post presence that can allow the 3 pt shooters some space. MU is easy to defend. Pressure the 3 pt line and make them dribble drive or feed suspect interior guys who you take your good chances won’t beat you. I’d just like to see 2 6’8” guys that can play. Jontay was one of those guys. Tilmon ideally would be one but it is asking too much because he is a project at this point. Puryear is not athletic enough to be a wing or tall enough to rely on as a post. Santos hasn’t shown much to date. Smith is too skinny and unskilled to be an effective post. Nikko is a backup post for limited minutes.
Lots of opportunities for recruits in this area. Hoping Tray Jackson is one of the answers. And may Tilmon goes from project to reliable presence. But that is hard to see this year.
