You know how to get over that hump? By building a great program. All Martin needs is time. We have some building blocks in our young-ins but its going to take some time.
You think they're just going to hand us respect? Nope...never has and never will. This is about money as much as anything for a conference...especially a conference like the SEC, and who ever is trending upward they will get the benefit of the doubt...show you're trending downward and you get what we are getting. So let
Martin get this thing fixed...it aint going to be an overnight thing.
Also...I know the short comings of Puryear....so does Martin. But Martin is showing the young man respect! Hes going to graduate proud of a Mizzou education and proud of the program. He comes to practice everyday...has great grades, and works hard all his 4 years and as a senior, so Martin shows him much love for his efforts. I can respect that...and Nikko will get the same treatment next year. I think with core of guys we have, Timon, Pinson, Pickett, Watson, Mark Smith, Mitchell Smith, Dru Smith and Santos if he stays healthy, we will progress next year in a big way and the next. And remember, Parker Braun...the kid aint no slouch...he is red shirt as well as Even Yerkes. I believe Martin may work them
into the program next year. And then we have the new guys coming in. They aint slouches either, Trey Jackson is said to be an impact player, and Mario who by this time SEC play next year should be up to where Pinson is now. He has a motor like Pickett with a more explosive game, so thats going to be fun. So yeah Mizzou BB fans...just hold on... have a little patience and have faith and stand behind Martin and trust Martin, he will get this thing right. This isn't Martins first rodeo. He is going to earn all that big money on that
contract...and hopefully beyond.
