I was at Mizzou when both Mel Gray and Roger Wehrli were there. Mel was not only a great receiver (I think he came to Mizzou from a California JC), but he also was a track star. From what I remember he wouldn't practice very hard at track but would show up for the meet and win the 100 yard dash (back then yards vs meters) in close to world class times of 9.2 - 9.4. An incredible athlete.
