had already been destroyed. So, even if he had asked "russia" to hack them; which he most certainly did not, they couldn't have.
he was making a joke and using humor to point out the "lost" (cough, cough) 30,000 emails.
in addition, even in his joke he didn't ask "russia" to hack her emails. he asked them to share what they had already hacked.
