On his visit to Russia, Trump was wowed by the oligarchs and wowed by Putin. The day of his pageant he kept asking "is Putin here, is Putin here?" Vlad has money and power Trump can't even imagine.
Trump wants to do a business deal downtown Moscow, his Towers. That is why Cohen was going there, to make that happen. They offered Putin a penthouse in the tower. SO, Trump runs for office and gets in office. His concern for the US and US interest PALES compared to his interest in himself. So he kisses Putin's XXX, does whatever Putin wants b/c this current job is short-term.
We will see if there have been laws broken. Trump isn't smart enough to be an agent of Russia, but they might well have Komprat (sp?) on him. And he works NOW to please Vlad.
