in Germany. There is no logical justification for the interstate system as a national defense project. Military equipment goes by rail or air when moving long distances in the US. There are exactly zero examples of a large coast to coast movement of military vehicles in the US using the interstate road system.

Hell, when I was in the 7th ID and we had to deploy to Oregon from Monterey, Ca to help fight fires, our vehicles went by rail...not by road
