Trump please tell me how Mexico will pay for the wall?
Spanky says steel and aluminum tariffs will pay for it. "Section 232" remains as part of the USMCA (the new NAFTA). Who pays the farmers for their woes during the unnecessary trade war? Who pays the deficit we have been running? Who pays for the lost GDP of the implementation of Section 232? Will the tariffs cover it all? Also, who pays for the tariffs?
tman gave up when he said the US companies that are more profitable as a result of the new trade deal will pay it (ie not Mexico, but US taxpayers)
...and I see a few others saying what amounts to "youll see!"
Is there a single economist, statesman, or otherwise out there suggesting legitimately that Mexico will pay for the wall? If not, can we all be smart enough to call that what it is: yet another Trump lie?
