she wasn't as shrill as she is today. She was more of a Ralph Nader typology, essentially pointing out some of the mechanisms in consumer finance which took advantage of folks. As she began to assemble a bit of a following, it appears that she found traction among the ultra-left and tacked that way. Makes sense as she certainly wasn't going to gain traction with corporate America. She's almost become a parody of herself though as she's gone from things that might have been justifiable complaints to the extremes.
I don't think she'll be the nominee. She's almost like the left version of a Ron Paul or Pat Buchanan. Will just never garner enough mainstream support - in my opinion.
