after he was certain that Ramey didn't want to come to Mizzou.

Terrell Ramey had to call him up to get him back on board, since the two of them are close friends, Cuonzo restarted their recruitment of Courtney. I think Terrell legit wanted his son to take Mizzou more seriously, but let his kid make his own decision and he went with Shaka.

No bad blood, just the way it works. Cuonzo is a good enough recruiter that he prepared for the future.
