I think she'll lie, not because of sharia law, but because she's a politician and they're all beholden to some agenda or stakeholders with an agenda that they've traded support with/to, in exchange for their support on other issues.
I don't think it's a bad thing to have diverse opinions and viewpoints in the room. I think a lot of our intelligence failures over the last 40 years have been a failure to understand the impact of our decisions and the cultures that we're trying to effect change on and in. She doesn't and won't have enough sway to push anything major through, but she'll be a vote, for sure.
I don't know if she married her brother or not - I don't put any more faith in the "conservative media" to be any more real than the "fake news" liberal media. Both of them have an agenda and will say anything (see yesterday's discussion of Harry Reid or any of the number of Pizzagate posts). That being said, whenever there's a lot of smoke around these people getting elected, I shake my head because it surely doesn't seem like we're electing the best and the brightest.
To your specific question about defending the Constitution, I think she will, but I think her definition of "enemy" is much different than yours, and probably, than mine.
