Maybe in 2021 with a democratic congress and president it could happen but not for that many years of returns. It's too bad we have to codify something that has been pretty standard for decades now. I get why Trump doesn't want to do it. God knows he wouldn't want his true net worth and possible shady dealings revealed. At the very least it will provide more ammo for the people complaining about the rich not paying the same percentage in taxes as the average American.
