There is possibility of broad economic collapse, the possibility of increasing levels of violence along the line s of Charlottesville but magnified. Perhaps Trump's followers will start to see they have been fcked and there ain't no savior coming and those gottamned kids with their anti-gun movement and the gottamned women w/their MeToo bullsht and loss of jobs and housing crashes, urban vs rural. Urban folks have all the money and the rural folks all the guns. There is a president who flaunts unraveling institutions from international relations to the domestic sense of law and order and right and wrong.
I don't know what is coming, but there seems to be significant levels of simmering unrest. At a NYE party last night, this gal I have known for years (she was a functionary at SS) and her husband a road sales guy in large scale industrial equipment - they railed about wanting to see Trump damaged beyond prison or impoverishment. I had not heard that from others before, that seething resentment. They said "i hope so" when I mentioned my sense of coming turbulence and I said I don't think you do.
