They will fall below .400 under Brad Underwood and be 4-16 in conference play. All that for only $2.755m per year.
I thought at the time Bruce Weber might be the best example of being a poor fit for the job he occupied when he was coaching the Illini. But I think a reasonable case could be made that he is the best hire they have made by a decent margin in their last three choices.
