Mizzou’s backups at the 4/5 combine for 6 points and 5 rebounds in 25 minutes.
Can he be better than that? Maybe.

The bigger impact though is that when either Tilmon or Puryear goes to the bench the defense gets worse. His game against ORU would indicate that if Santos gets and stays healthy that he could help Mizzou become even better as a defensive team. Mizzou will have games that Tilmon and/or Puryear will be in foul trouble, and solid play will be needed by their backups.
