is not what happened here. He wasn't found to violate Title IX simply because he asked her on a date - this dude stalked the girl for months. Read the filing from the dude's own lawyers, even THEIR version of events makes him look bad:

Again, Title IX needs a major rework (or at least to be interpreted correctly - which DeVos is seemingly doing) but this isn't a case to get upset over. He did it to himself.
