You may actually be dumber than JG.

Since Obama took office the GOP had been gaining power nationwide. That was not sustainable and was bound to be corrected. But the GOP which had a very narrow margin in the senate not only held on gained seats. Yes they lost seats in the house and lost control but it was no more than is expected in midterm elections.

There was nothing special about these midterms. You hatred of Trump has colored your vision to the point of making you totally laughable.
