lets break the wall down to its liberal vs conservative
points
Liberal
1) expensive government work project
2) will lead to further government expenses and power
3) most of the problem is already caused by the government
(anchor babies, free school - no checking for legal status, welfare, medical, costs of law enforcement, restrictions on temporary field migrants etc).
Instead of cutting that, create some more government
4) the solution is already fatally flawed EVEN if its purpose works 100% (which it won't)
5) environmentally harmful (environment the most conservative issue possible)
6)ignores laws (government above the law)
7) eminent domain (60% of the wall on private land)
Problems that are neither liberal nor conservative
1) will not be staffed at a level to make even the
1/3-1/4 effectiveness effective
2) can't meet staffing quotas for border control currently
and what is "conservative" about it
1) nothing, meets an emotional need of the irrationally fearful- thats really it.
