from someone very close to Washington, but not with an actual conversation with the player. Then, the player posted his comment, which I would guess caught Frank off guard, and he removed his tweet.
I just don't believe any reporter would post something he knew would capture a lot of attention, without having some high level of confidence. Lesson is, don't post anything until you have validation from the principal (e.g. Washington). Sounds basic, but getting a scoop is one of Frank's primary MO's.
