given the entire thrust of my OP and comments was that how one addresses disagreements at the time of a person’s death is a reflection of their dignity and humanity.

That is hardly a controversial position, yet one I was sure would create argument in a place where searching for argument is a key mission for some. Not necessarily you. But you got caught up in it.
