He is hispanic first, american second

He sees things through the eyes of an oppressed minority and feels that nobody likes him because he's puerto rican.

Only thinking people don't like you.

It's too bad because he has some insightful things to say on issues that do not involve hispanics. Things that i can respect even when i disagree with him.

But when "his people" are involved, he loses his objectivity and plays for the home team.
