I’m in somewhat of a unique position to discuss what some of these players are feeling. Some of these kids have grown up in a fatherless household. Many of these players look to their coaches for positive male role models. When someone they’ve grown to trust makes overtures like he’s willing to betray them for a lesser job that pay more the effects can be devistating to these young men. Some of these kids may never get over this sense of betrayal. When events like this occur society as a whole suffers. It deeply saddens me that Barry, who knows all this, was willing to treat these kids this way.
