However, Gabe is arguing that a raise + extension is in order even if BO finishes with a losing 6-7 record.

IMO, based on what the expectations were for this season and the talent on the roster (e.g. Pinkel's seniors like Lock and TBJ), Odom should get an extension if he wins 8, and a raise if he wins 9. If he wins 7 or fewer, then the contract should remain as-is.
