Mid-pack SEC & P5 program, unrealistic to expect more

Tiger football is a mid-range SEC & P5 program by almost any metric, I.e. support, resources, recruiting base, tradition, etc. It’s not realistic to expect it to be competitive with the upper tier (top 1/3) of SEC & P5 programs.

Realistic expectations are win the three non conference games against non P5 programs and win 4 or 5 of the other 9 games. There will be aberrations, both good and bad, but 7 or 8 wins each year is a reasonable expectation for the program over the long term.
