If guns were to disappear, a lot less people would die.
If cars were to disappear, there would be a massive reduction in deaths.
You don't use guns, you don't like guns, so you're fine with banning them.
No cars would be too inconvenient for you so you accept the risk to yourself and others. You also accept that cars can be used (and have been) as weapons to murder.
